A sub-sect of the Rajpurohit Brahmins, we were the royal caretakers and priests in ancient times. As we were closely associated with the Rajputs, we started following their traditions, way of living and customs. However, we retained the Brahminical traditions of vegetarianism and wearing of the sacred thread.
